Microsoft is relaunching its Free Play Days operation with a new selection of free games. For a limited time, Xbox players can download and try multiple titles at no cost. This new wave of free games is available until March 15. To access it, simply go to the Microsoft Store, in the subscriptions tab, then in the Free Play Days section on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S.
Xbox offers several free games with Free Play Days
The selection offered this week covers several play styles, allowing players to try very different experiences. Xbox Game Pass subscribers can try several titles throughout the duration of the event. Among the games available is Killing Floor 3, a first-person shooter focused on cooperative action. The game recently received a major update which notably adds a new battlefield and a new boss.
Another experience offered, Bassmaster Fishing, a fishing game that reproduces the sensations of sport fishing. Players can compete and explore different environments to catch the biggest fish.
Worms WMD and Tropico 6 available for free
Fans of strategy and tactical games can also try Worms WMD, a recent installment of the popular Worms series. The game retains the classic principle of the franchise: teams of worms armed to the teeth face off on destructible terrain with an often improbable arsenal.
Players can also discover Tropico 6, a management game in which they rule a tropical island by playing as a political leader. The title mixes city construction, economic management and political strategy, offering great freedom in the way of developing your country.
Diablo 4 free for everyone for several days
The selection of free games also has a big surprise in store. Diablo 4 is currently playable for free for a limited time. Unlike the other titles in the selection, this game does not require an Xbox Game Pass subscription to download and try. All players can therefore access the free trial of Blizzard’s famous action-RPG.
This trial period will remain available until March 18, which leaves a little more time to discover the game than the other titles in the Free Play Days operation. With this selection, Microsoft is offering a weekend full of discoveries for Xbox players, with several styles of games ranging from cooperative shooting to strategy to action-RPG.
