This list for the Steam Neo Fest is obviously not exhaustive, and we can only encourage you to take a look on Steam yourself to see the rest of the demos (don’t hesitate to share your recommendations!). As a reminder, the Steam Neo Fest will take place until Monday, March 2 at 7 p.m., but some demos will continue to be online after that.
Replaced
- Release date: April 14, 2026
- Steam page
Even though its demo has been available for a few days now, it’s hard not to Replaced in this list as the game seems to be a must-have in the coming weeks. Long postponed, this 2.5D action game with impeccable pixel-art aesthetics (not to mention almost never seen before) gives us a taste of what it has to offer, immersing us in a uchronia with a cyberpunk atmosphere which will serve as a framework for a thriller that we hope will be striking. This demo also lets us get to grips with this action-packed combat system. Replacedwhich appears simple at first glance but which remains pleasant and above all quite cinematic, like the rest of the experience.
Planet of Lana II
Planet of Lana II picks up sometime after the end of the first game released in 2022. Lana has grown up somewhat and the tribes of the planet Novo have acclimated to the alien robotic presence on their planet. But dark secrets still seem to want to emerge and Lana can’t help but go back on an adventure with her four-legged traveling companion, Mui. A demo which will allow you to see the new abilities of Lana and Mui, for a duration of 30 to 45 minutes. Planet of Lana II will be released in just a few days, so if you want to try it and you like platform, puzzle and adventure games, don’t hesitate to immerse yourself in this unique and hand-drawn universe, without dialogue but with deep and universal themes.
Zero Parades: For Dead Spies
So yes, ZA/UM version 2026 is not the ZA/UM of Disco Elysium. The thinking heads of this latest project have fled the studio which is at the heart of many stormy stories, while the latter tries to prove that it still has some great artists left in its ranks with Zero Parades: For Dead Spies. A CRPG about the world of espionage which should once again bet everything on its narration, with a visual rendering not so far from Disco Elysium. You can test its demo today (but only until March 16) to immerse yourself in the tormented city of Portofiro, during two quests which will give you access to a gallery of characters that are atypical to say the least.
Denshattack!
The members of the Undercoders studio really like skateboarding games. But they also really like trains. So why not replace skateboards with trains? This is the completely crazy idea behind Denshattack!which presents itself as an arcade and platform game in which you maneuver a train by making it do the biggest tricks possible. It’s your passengers who won’t be happy, but on board this train, you will be able to perform the craziest tricks in a world that is just as crazy, with very Japanese inspirations and an ultra-colorful aesthetic. A little UFO that immediately seems fun, and that you can try right now.
The Eternal Life of Goldman
We continue in the section of artistic directions which amaze you with The Eternal Life of Goldmana platform game that instantly stands out thanks to its unique visual style. But not only that, since instead of making us embody a dashing young hero who takes advantage of the strength of youth, you will be placed here in the charentaises of a character in the prime of life, who will use his cane to get rid of his enemies. This originality will not be the only one, since Weappy Studio wants to reinvent the platform game, just that. Expect a lot of challenges without falling into a frustrating experience, sumptuous settings and colorful characters.
Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss
Developed by the Big Bad Wolf studio, already responsible for narrative games The Council And Vampire The Masquerade Swansong, Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss aims to evolve the formula by putting the gameplay more forward, and above all in the service of the story. We play Noah, an investigator belonging to a secret organization specializing in occult phenomena in 2053. A “horrific investigation thriller” which should speak to fans of the world of the American writer HP Lovecraft. We had the opportunity to try the first two chapters and this first contact has been rather conclusive for the moment. We therefore warmly invite you to try it for yourself using the demo.
Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent
The French studio Artefacts returns with Terrinoth: Heroes of Descenta tactical RPG that shares a lot of similarities with this team’s previous game, The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Disorder. Not in tone, which is a little more serious here, but in form, since we are facing an RPG with an isometric view and fairly similar turn-based combat. This production adapts a well-known board game, but only uses the universe and not the rules. If you found the combat in Baldur’s Gate 3 too complex, you shouldn’t have a problem here as the game aims to be a perfect gateway to the genre, especially when played with several people.
Damon and Baby
A hint of Japanese games in this list with Damon and Babythe next title from Arc System Works. Yes, you read correctly, the studio now specialized in fighting games is launching a more surprising production here with an action and adventure game in isometric view, with a bit of twin-stick shooter. We follow the adventure of a demon king stuck against his will with a human child, an astonishing duo which turns into a trio since you will have the possibility of playing cooperatively by controlling a dog who can come to the king’s aid.
Croak
If you’re looking for an “old-fashioned” platform game, but with a little twist that brings freshness, take a look at Croak. The title allows us to control a frog who will use his lolling tongue to move through the environment. This can stick to platforms and walls, and you can therefore use it as a horizontal grappling hook. The game has a very fun artistic direction (quite cartoonish) with very expressive animals, in addition to this adorable frog that is so cute.
Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard from Vampire Survivors
As if Vampire Survivors wasn’t addictive enough, here comes its deckbuilding-style spin-off. Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard from Vampire Survivors will ask you to navigate through levels to carry out confrontations using cards, these having increasingly crazy effects, like what we have the right to expect from a Vampire Survivors game. Be careful though: dive in, and you’ll probably wake up next week realizing that you’ve only played this demo, and not the rest.
Outbound
Less frenetic, Outbound invites you to calm down during its demo. This first-person adventure game takes you on a journey in your own van, which you can customize and upgrade during your journey. A real bucolic escape awaits you, driving through lots of different landscapes. Once the engine stops, you can do some gardening, play with your friends (up to 4), and take care of your pets. If that’s not the good life.
The Witch’s Bakery
Without doubt the most French game on the list, The Witch’s Bakery invites you to take a tour of Paris. Finally, a city of Paris with a touch of magic, since here you play a witch who also runs a pastry shop, and who will create delicacies that will be able to erase all the customers’ ills, in addition to their appetite. When she is not in the kitchen, our young witch will explore the streets of the city to build relationships with the local inhabitants, and perhaps help them in their daily worries by entering directly into their hearts to heal them.
Wild Wild West
We stay in France with Wild Wild Westor almost. Because, okay, it’s about going and playing cowboys, but we owe this title to Evil Raptor, a French team that we were able to discover with Akimbot And Pumpkin Jack. In this new game, you can play with 3 other friends to complete dangerous contracts by hunting monsters, since this version of the Wild West is a little more fantastic than the one we know. The gameplay offers very dynamic clashes with several options to personalize our avatar, which adds a lot of replayability.
The Ranchers
Let’s add a little life simulation to diversify this selection. In The Rancherswe invite you to cut yourself off from the stressful world of the city to settle down in the calm of the countryside and satisfy your need for tranquility. Yes, a very classic pitch which will undoubtedly remind you of many other agricultural simulations sprinkled with a touch of RPG, except that you will have to develop your ranch with a small capital where exploration and social life take an important part. A child of Stardew Valley in short, born from a Kickstarter campaign which worked very well, and which finally seems to be moving towards its release.
Wild Blue Skies
Do you miss Star Fox? Nintendo doesn’t care, but not Chuahai Labs which has decided to pay a vibrant tribute to the saga. Moreover, within this studio, we find Giles Goddard, who significantly contributed to the games featuring Fox McCloud. This new title therefore takes up almost all the codes of Star Fox by presenting itself as a rail-shooter with a very 90s feeling. Nostalgia will therefore make you feel strongly here.
Darkhaven
While Diablo IV continues its existence with an expansion in the works, veterans of the Blizzard saga are working to build what they think will be the true successor to the saga. Darkhaven is therefore a hack’n slash which will make you strongly think of Diablo, but with better loot management and significantly more dynamic combat, since jumps and dashes are present. This demo will also allow you to see if it is worth financing this ambitious project, since Moon Beast Productions needs you via its Kickstarter campaign.
Titanium Court
We end this selection with the most surprising game on this list, which has caused quite a stir in recent days on social networks. It is about Titanic Courta very difficult game to describe that mixes puzzle and… well, who knows. It’s an experience to live for yourself, provided you are comfortable with English to better understand the humor. Surreal, on so many levels.
