The Witcher saga remains one of the most popular franchises in video games and modern fantasy. Since the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in 2015, the universe created by Andrzej Sapkowski has continued to expand through series, adaptations and comics.
A new publication will allow fans to find Geralt of Rivia in several new adventures. On March 24, Dark Horse will publish The Witcher Omnibus Volume 3, an important collection bringing together several stories from the world of the famous Witcher.
The Witcher Omnibus Volume 3 officially releases on March 24
The new volume of The Witcher Omnibus collection brings together several comic book stories dedicated to Geralt. The work has approximately 368 pages and brings together several previously published stories. This collection includes the series The Witcher: The Ballad of the Two Wolves, The Witcher: Wild Animals and The Witcher: Corvo Bianco. The book also contains the story Frog Kiss published on Free Comic Book Day 2023.
All of these stories were written by Bartosz Sztybor, an author well known for his work on The Witcher universe. Several artists also contributed to the creation of this volume, including Miki Montllo, Nataliia Rerekina and Corrado Mastantuono. The book will be available in specialized bookstores as well as certain online retailers. Its price should be around 30 dollars.
Three major stories from the Witcher universe
The stories included in this volume follow Geralt on different adventures across the world of The Witcher. In The Ballad of the Two Wolves, the witcher leads an investigation in the town of Grimmwald to track down a mysterious creature resembling a werewolf. The story Wild Animals explores a conflict between local hunters and a mysterious clan. Geralt must intervene to resolve an increasingly dangerous situation.
Corvo Bianco, a story centered on Geralt and Yennefer
The story Corvo Bianco depicts a calmer period in Geralt’s life. The witcher is trying to enjoy a moment of tranquility in his vineyard located in Toussaint.
However, this tranquility is short-lived. A nobleman claims ownership of the land, leading to another confrontation for Geralt and Yennefer. This plot allows us to explore a more personal side of the characters. The story places more emphasis on their relationship and the witcher’s daily life away from monsters and battles.
New official content in the universe of The Witcher
The stories included in this collection are officially licensed by CD Projekt Red and are part of the continuity of the universe developed around The Witcher 3. This new publication therefore allows fans to find Geralt in additional adventures while further exploring certain emblematic locations of the saga. With its 368 pages and several different stories, The Witcher Omnibus Volume 3 represents one of the most complete collections dedicated to the famous witcher.
