It’s hard to miss such an aggressive offer. One of the most notable games of recent years is currently offered at an almost symbolic price on the Nintendo eShop. Until March 30, 2026, players can pick up Inside, the popular indie game from Playdead studio, for just $2.49, a 90% discount from its usual price of $24.99. A limited time promotion, available on all Nintendo Switch consoles, including the Switch 2 thanks to backwards compatibility.
Inside on Switch: a masterpiece at a knockdown price
Initially released in 2016, Inside quickly established itself as a benchmark in platform and puzzle games. With a score of 93 on Metacritic and a 96% approval rating on Steam, it is one of the highest-rated titles of its generation.
Nominated five times for the 2016 Game Awards, the game is often cited alongside major productions like Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End among the best video game experiences of the year. Developed by Danish studio Playdead, already known for Limbo, Inside stands out for its dark atmosphere, minimalist gameplay and visual storytelling.
A short but memorable experience
Despite its undeniable qualities, Inside remains a relatively brief adventure. Allow between three and five hours to see the end of it, which may slow down some players at the normal price. At this reduced price, however, the proposition becomes difficult to ignore. The game also only requires 1.5 GB of storage space on the console.
Available on Nintendo Switch since June 28, 2018, it remains today one of the most influential independent titles of recent years. With such a discount and such a short window, this offer could well disappear before some players even have time to take an interest.
