LEGO Pokémon: a leak reveals a new minifigure and a 2-in-1 model that is already intriguing fans

Since the launch of the range LEGO Pokémon in February 2026, fans were only treated to gigantic exhibition models: LEGO 72151 Eevee (587 pieces, €59.99), LEGO 72152 Pikachu and Poké Ball (2,050 pieces, €199.99) and the juggernaut 72153 Florizarre, Charizard and Tortank (6,838 pieces, €649.99), all without a single minifigure.

A new leak, however, revives the hope of a real playable format. A recognized leaker, Brick Tap aka Chief Wiggum, talks about the first Pokémon trainer minifigure at the house of LEGOaccompanied by a giant version called Up-Scaled. Enough to suggest a future 2-in-1 set which could finally combine exhibition and play.

LEGO Pokémon: first trainer minifigure approaching?

According to information relayed by Chief Wiggum, LEGO currently working on several minifigures Pokémon for 2026, including a new human trainer. This would be a first for the official range, until now limited to creatures and accessories built entirely in bricks. In community discussions, this trainer minifigure is already seen as the missing piece to tell real scenes of combat or exploration.

The leak joins the rumors around the set 72154 Poké Balla huge openable Poké Ball of around 2,200 pieces for an estimated price of $259.99, or nearly €240. Already mentioned by Journal du Geek with a Eevee in minifig format and a release targeted for August 1, 2026, this model appears to be the ideal candidate to also accommodate the trainer.

Up-Scaled LEGO Pokémon model: towards a 2-in-1 set?

Another key element of the leak: an Up-Scaled version of the same trainer Pokémon. This range of large figurines already exists at LEGO with, for example, the references 40649 Up-Scaled LEGO Minifigure or 40921 Up-Scaled Blue Astronaut. These models reproduce a classic minifig on a much larger scale, ideal for display on a shelf.

In several cases, LEGO has included the corresponding small minifigure in the Up-Scaled box, transforming the product into a true 2-in-1 set. If the trainer Pokémon follows this logic, we could have a pack combining a large brick-built statue and a playable minifig, or even a direct link with Poké Ball 72154 to create a duo highly sought after by collectors.

Poké Ball 72154 and Smart Play: what schedule and prices in 2026?

Nothing has been officially confirmed, but the timeline of previous leaks points to an announcement of the next wave LEGO Pokémon by June 2026, for release in early August. The Poké Ball 72154 around €240 would then complete the first three sets, while finally introducing human and animal minifigs into the license.

Several of these new features would be compatible with Smart Playthe interactive elements platform of LEGO which combines rechargeable bricks, sensors, lights and sounds. With the launch planned in only six countries including France, a first trainer minifigure Pokémon potentially interactive, associated with a high price and limited distribution, has everything to become a must for fans and speculators alike.
