Final Fantasy XIV continues to enrich its universe with new regular updates. As the Dawntrail expansion continues its content cycle, Square Enix recently presented the first details of patch 7.5. This major update will mark an important step in the evolution of the game. It will introduce new challenges, additional narrative content and several improvements to the player experience.
A release planned for April 28
Final Fantasy XIV patch 7.5 is scheduled to launch on April 28 on all platforms. This update will arrive a few days after the Anaheim FanFest event, during which Square Enix also plans to reveal new information about the future of the MMORPG. The main story of the patch will be divided into two parts. The first will be available as soon as the update is released, while the second will arrive later this year with patch 7.56. This new chapter will also serve as a transition to the game’s next major expansion.
A new fight against the Enuo boss
Among the confirmed content is a new fight against Enuo. This super boss is inspired by Final Fantasy V Advance and will appear in the main story of patch 7.5. Players will face this powerful enemy in a new challenge designed to test their skills. At the same time, the alliance raid series Echoes of Vana’diel will also receive a new episode. The raid titled Windurst, The Third Walk will continue the crossover with Final Fantasy XI and will feature new fights against iconic bosses from this series.
The Beastmaster job is coming to the game
Square Enix also confirmed the upcoming arrival of a new limited job. The Beastmaster will be introduced in an update tied to patch 7.5 and will allow players to capture creatures for use in combat. This new class will use a one-handed ax and play a melee DPS role. At launch, its maximum level will be limited to 50. The development of this job is led by Masaki Nakagawa, also known by the nickname Mr. Ozma.
Many improvements for players
The update will also bring several improvements to the game. The housing system will benefit from an increase in the number of items that can be placed in players’ houses. For example, medium-sized homes will now be able to hold up to 450 items. Dyes will also be grouped into several categories to simplify their management in the inventory. With these many new features, Final Fantasy XIV patch 7.5 should constitute one of the most important updates of the Dawntrail cycle.
