Fallout Day 2025: what is Bethesda preparing for its cult saga and TV series?

Are the bombs really going to fall this year? No, don’t worry. But Fallout fans are waiting for an explosion of announcements. On October 23, Bethesda will broadcast its Fallout Day Broadcastannual celebration of a universe that has become cult. A meeting that is particularly scrutinized this year, given the expectations around licenses Fallout are immense.

The event will be broadcast live on October 23 at 7 p.m. (French time). A highly symbolic date for connoisseurs: it was October 23, 2077 that, in the game’s chronology, nuclear bombs razed the world. A detail which, each year, gives particular significance to this community event.

Bethesda teases content… without saying too much

Bethesda has confirmed that players will be able to experience “news about our existing Fallout games, community celebrations, and upcoming fan events.” Nothing more, officially. But there are already many speculations.

Some bet on Fallout 3 Remasteredmentioned in 2023 in leaks but never made official. Others are instead expecting a big update of Fallout 76whose next content Burning Springs is imminent. The addition of a character played by Walton Gogginsfrom the Prime Video series, also fuels fantasies of a more ambitious crossover between series and game.

As for new titles, little chance of seeing Fallout 5 point the tip of his nose. Bethesda had already confirmed it: it will come after The Elder Scrolls 6. And Todd Howard himself wanted to calm the heat.

Todd Howard calls for patience on Fallout 5

In an interview with YouTube channel MrMattyPlays, the boss of Bethesda Softworks explained: “For other Fallout games coming, obviously I can’t talk about them right now, but I would say that botching them or feeling the need to quickly release games that are different from what we’re doing with Fallout 76… that’s not our mindset.”

He continues, lucid about the community’s expectations: “I completely understand the desire for a new genre of classic single-player game.” But insists on a more demanding approach: “And it takes time. I don’t think it’s a bad thing that people miss out on things. We just want to get it right and make sure that everything we do in a franchise, whether it’s Elder Scrolls, Fallout or now Starfield, is an important moment for everyone who loved these franchises as much as we do.”

A measured, but clear speech: Fallout 5 won’t be here right away.

A series that boosts the Fallout universe

Alongside the games, the series Fallout produced by Jonathan Nolan For Prime Video enjoys resounding success. Its season 2 is expected for December 17, 2025with an enriched casting: Justin Theroux as Mr. House, and Macaulay Culkin as an eccentric scholar.

Key characters like Lucy (Ella Purnell), The Ghoul (Walton Goggins) and the inevitable dog Dogmeat will be back. The series, which this time will take place at New Vegascontinues to explore the gray areas of Fallout lore, while breathing new life into the universe.
