This week, Amazon Luna exceptionally enriches its Prime Gaming catalog with two emblematic games in the history of RPG: Fallout And Fallout 2. Unlike the usual rotation of free titles, this end-of-year gift arrives before Christmas, probably to allow Prime subscribers to take full advantage of the holidays by exploring the Wastelands of the first two parts of the saga. These games, which helped define the license Falloutare free for a limited time and add to the celebration around the new season 2 of Fallout on the Luna platform.

Fallout: the original that changed everything

Released in the late 1990s, Fallout is an isometric RPG set in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by global nuclear war. Players take on the role of an underground vault dweller, forced to leave the safety of their refuge to face an irradiated wasteland populated by mutants, raiders, and constant moral dilemmas.

One of the most notable elements of this game is its turn-based combat system, combined with progression based on varied skills, which rewards strategy, exploration and decision-making. Fallout established the foundations of a unique universe, combining dark humor, strong narration and freedom of action, which will be taken up and enriched by the sequels of the series.

Fallout 2: an even bigger sequel

In Fallout 2the post‑apocalyptic adventure takes on a new dimension. This sequel places the player in the shoes of the Chosen Onea descendant of an original Vault Dweller, sent on a mission to save his tribe in search of the legendary GECK — a device capable of restoring life to the wasteland.

The environments are larger, the factions more numerous and the choices even deeper, reinforcing replayability and narrative possibilities. As in the first game, turn-based tactical combat and skill progression remain at the heart of the experience, providing the strategic depth that the franchise is known for.
