The streaming channel aniverse recently announced that it had secured the license for the anime adaptation of “KAMUI: He’s Behind You” (Japanese: “Ushiro no Shoumen Kamui-san”). We summarize.

»KAMUI: He’s Behind You« started on Japanese television on July 3, 2026 and has been shown in simulcast on aniverse every Friday at 6:30 p.m. since July 10, 2026 in the original sound with German subtitles. The twelve-minute first episode is already available on demand in the uncensored version.
The studios ZERO-G and ZG-R are responsible for the production of the twelve-part short anime, with Takumi Tsukumo (“Divergence Eve”) directing and Tomofumi Nakajou (“Pupipo!”) writing the script.
The original manga series of the same name comes from Eroki and has been published in the “Ura Sunday” magazine since March 2020 with drawings by Shinko Konoshiro. The comedy work is currently neither available in German nor in English.
