Terminator Survivors is postponed indefinitely and will not go through early access

The fight against Skynet will wait

The open world survival game Terminator Survivors is ultimately a bigger project than expected for Nacon’s Milanese studio, which is forced to change its plans today. No release in 2025 for the title, and this Terminator Survivor is now postponed to an as yet unknown date. Marco Ponte, creative director of the project, announces this with other details, such as the fact that the cooperative multiplayer part was left aside :

Despite our silence of late, we have not been idle; this year has been productive and we’ve made significant progress on all fronts, from world design and combat to narrative depth and atmosphere […] After months of internal testing and discussions with players and fans of the license, we concluded that to offer you an authentic “Terminator” experience, with optimal gameplay, we had to skip the cooperative multiplayer mode. We know this may be disappointing, but we believe it is the best creative direction for an uncompromising vision of the world after Judgment Day. »

There is also no longer any question of launching this Terminator Survivors in early accesswhich is a strange decision. To see if this doesn’t come from Nacon itself after having tried it with other games without great results, like GreedFall 2 :

Instead of early access, we want your first steps into this universe to be a complete and successful experience. As you may have guessed, Terminator: Survivors will not be released in 2025. We don’t have a new date yet, but we will keep you informed as soon as possible. However, your feedback is essential for development. This is why we will organize several closed playtests (under NDA) closer to the release date. »

Terminator Survivors is expected on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
