London Studio’s Canceled Sony Game Reappears, Set for Early Access Release in 2027

London Studio is dead, but not its game

Twisted Works obviously refrains from saying that Cast Outs is the game that London Studio was preparing, but it doesn’t take a great detective to see the commonalities between this game and the canceled project, which undoubtedly had some changes to be published independently.

The title is presented as a third-person cooperative action game (playable by 2 to 4 people) PvE in which you can control characters with unique magical powerswho will have to face the invasion of creatures in the streets of London, all with a slightly cartoonish and very colorful aspect.

We are already promised synergies between the different powers, with the possibility of improving them along the way among several possible options. Even the setting should play an important role here, with parts that can be destroyed. Several game modes will be offered, such as survival, speedrunning or classic escort-type missions.

Cast Outs is planned as a premium game and not a free-to-play, which will be released on PC, PS5 and Xbox Serieswith perhaps a Switch 2 version after launch if that becomes possible. In the first video of the game, the Xbox Series is not mentioned, but this is the case in the FAQ published by the studio and relayed by Gematsu.

The game will first go through an early access phase in early 2027. Which is still a long way off, but we can imagine that the studio has decided to reveal the title now in order to find financial support to help it complete the project.
