It was recently announced on the official X account of the anime adaptation of “World Trigger” that the series will receive a “reboot project”. You can find a first teaser and a visual further down in this article.

The first information about the new project is expected to be announced during a panel at Jump Festa 2026, which will take place on December 20, 2025 at 4:20 p.m. local time in Japan (08:20 a.m. European time).
The first anime adaptation of “World Trigger,” which consists of 99 episodes in three seasons, ran on Japanese television between October 2014 and January 2022. Crunchyroll offers the series with German subtitles on demand.
The original manga series of the same name was written by Daisuke Ashihara and has been published in the Japanese “Weekly Shounen Jump” magazine since February 2018. The work is not yet available with a German translation.
