Pokémon Legends ZA: a revolutionary Pokémon will benefit from a second Mega-Evolution in the next DLC

In Pokémon, few creatures benefit from several Mega Evolutions. And yet, this is exactly what Game Freak offers in the Mega-Dimension DLC of Pokémon Legends: ZA. A new form called Mega-Lucario Z will appear, and fans already have their eyes glued to this spectacular transformation.

“Lucario’s new Mega Evolution, Mega Lucario Z, joins a very exclusive club that currently has only three other members: Charizard, Mewtwo and Raichu.”

Already highly appreciated for its power and design in previous versions, Lucario stands out even more here with a unique transformation that could redefine its strategic role in players’ teams.

A transformed design, reflecting its power

Where Lucario’s classic Mega form accentuated his bestial and nervous side, the Z version completely changes the visual palette. The Pokémon now displays a much more sophisticated, almost royal look.

“Mega Lucario Z’s design is much more complex than the regular Mega Lucario. The blue parts of its body are black, and the black parts are a lighter blue. Its body and the ruff around its neck also appear gold.”

This aesthetic choice marks a real break, immediately signaling to the player that this is not a simple variation, but a new level of power. The recent trailer also featured a memorable duel between the two forms. “In the new trailer, Lucario’s two Mega forms face off, and it’s the Z form that emerges victorious from the fight.”

A highly anticipated arrival in the Mega-Dimension DLC

Mega-Lucario Z will not be the only one to join the adventure. It is part of a burst of new developments that fans will be able to discover from December 10, release date of the highly anticipated DLC Mega-Dimension.

Alongside Lucario, we will notably find Mega-Zeraora, Mega-Chimecho, Mega-Baxcalibur, and an explosive duo with Mega-Raichu X and Y. Mewtwo, for its part, is already playable via a special mission added in the main game. “Mega Lucario Z will join other recently revealed Mega Evolutions when the Mega Dimension expansion arrives on December 10.” The massive return of Mega Evolutions in Legends ZA seems to be a strong signal: the license focuses on fan service, while innovating enough to keep the enthusiasm intact.

A hype fueled by nostalgia… and by strategy

What Mega-Lucario Z represents goes beyond simple cosmetic novelty. For many, it’s a promise of renewed gameplay. The new Z forms could shake up team balances, revive PvE and PvP strategy, and above all offer trainers new ways to explore Illumis.

The return of Mega-Gems, secondary missions linked to legendaries, and the possible inclusion of Primal forms (Groudon, Kyogre) suggest that this DLC will not only add content: it could redefine the very identity of Pokémon Legends: ZA.
