New details about the Blu-ray release of the new anime adaptation of “Spice and Wolf” became known through a product entry on Amazon. We summarize.
Release from May 2026
AniMoon Publishing is expected to release the first Blu-ray volume as a limited edition on May 15, 2026. This includes the first six episodes with German and Japanese dubbing as well as a collection slipcase. As things stand, the three further volumes will follow later this year.
Studio Passione was responsible for producing the 25-episode first season of the anime remake, with Hijiri Sanpei (“Yuri Is My Job!”) directing and Takeo Takahashi (“Yosuga no Sora”) serving as chief director.
The video-on-demand service Crunchyroll has the series, which ran from April to September 2024 in Japan, in the German language version and in the original sound. A second season is already in the works, but does not yet have a start date. The first anime adaptation was published by Nipponart.
