On the official X account of the anime adaptation of “Liar Game” it was announced today that the series will start on April 6, 2026. A new visual is below.

“Liar Game” is produced at Studio Madhouse under the direction of director Asami Kawano (“The Vampire Dies in No Time”). Tatsuhiko Urahata is writing the script, while Kei Tsuchiya is doing the character design.
The main roles of the Japanese voice cast include Saya Hitomi (Mayumi in “SHIBOYUGI”) as Nao Kanzaki and Takeo Ootsuka (Tsukasa Akeuraji in “Medalist”) as Shinichi Akiyama. Crunchyroll is simulcasting the drama anime.
The original manga series of the same name by Shinobu Kaitani was published in “Weekly Young Jump” magazine in Japan from February 2005 to January 2015. The work was published by Egmont Manga with a German translation.
