The cutting edge at your fingertips
We already had an idea of this project carried by Microsoft last year: Gaming Copilot is intended to give advice and indications to successfully progress in our different games. It wasn’t enough for our own main characters to spoil a puzzle for us in 10 seconds flat, an external AI had to be able to take care of it just in case.
While the deployment was able to begin among members of the Xbox Insider program, in a beta version on PC, mobile and ROG Xbox Ally, it remained to be seen when the rest of the public will be entitled to it? Well according to Sonali Yadav’s speech during the Game Developers Conference panel, Partner Group Product Manager for Gaming AI at Xbox, it will be for this year:
I’m excited to announce that over the course of the year we’ll be bringing Gaming Copilot to current-gen consoles, and we’ll continue to integrate it into more services gamers use.
A statement reported by Gamesradar, who was able to attend this panel, confirming that owners of an Xbox Series X or S will soon inherit these services. Remember that the assistant has already demonstrated its scope of action by allowing, for example, to quickly respond to a need for advice on how to properly start a game or face a boss, or even which games are on our wishlist. But who knows what crazy stuff (and in how long) the tool will come up with. Yay?
