A new stage in the Planarcadia arc
In this new update, the crew of the Astral Express is invited to participate in the Star Rail Fest, a large event held in Planarcadia to celebrate the past adventures of the interstellar train. This exhibition allows residents to relive certain key moments from previous expeditions across three large areas:
- Belobog
- The Luofu of Xianzhou
- Penacony
It will thus be possible to witness several scenes inspired by emblematic moments in the history of the game, such as the fight against Cocolia, the confrontation against Phantylie or even the battle against Septimus. However, behind this festive atmosphere, a plot seems to be brewing as the Fabulous Games continue to take place in parallel.
The banners of version 4.1
Version 4.1 also marks the arrival of a new playable character: Ashveil. This is a 5-star lightning type character belonging to the path of the Hunt. This detective with a seemingly nonchalant character becomes a central ally in the plot as he investigates a murder that occurred in the Colombeaux district.
Its gameplay relies in particular on a target marking system called “Bait”, which reduces the defense of enemies and triggers follow-up attacks when they are attacked by allies.
Rewards and a new event
The update also introduces a unique event called “Chronicles of the War of the Aetherae”. In this mode, you will be asked to lead different units called Ætherae in order to conquer Graphia Academy. According to HoYoverse, the gameplay is based on varied combat strategies, improving units, using spell cards and capsules with special effects. Once you have completed the academy challenges, you will be able to face visitors from other worlds in even more difficult battles.
Version 4.1 will also bring several new features not to be missed for summoning on banners and equipping your characters:
- 10 free draws offered after the update
- a new phase of the parallel Universe entitled “Chronicles of Arcadia”
- an evolving system with the masks of Joy
- Return of Dimensional Fracture and Garden of Opulence events with double rewards

When will Honkai Star Rail version 4.1 be released?
Version 4.1 of Honkai Star Rail will be available from March 25 around 4 a.m. Maintenance will take place just before this, and you will receive Stellar Jades as compensation.
