Nintendo only informed
Obviously, when we Dispatch being censored only on the Switch versions of the game, we can think that Nintendo played a role in this decision, especially if we put this in connection with AdHoc’s statement on the subject. But the reason behind this change could also come from the Japanese classification systemto which the studio would have wanted to comply to prevent the game from entering the highest age category. And this, while keeping only one version of the title for all countries, where other studios sometimes opt for a second version of their game reserved for Japan (or countries whose organizations pose a problem).
A theory which today seems to be confirmed if we interpret Nintendo’s words, who kindly answered the questions from the GoNintendo site:
“ Nintendo requires that all games available on its platforms be independently rated and meet its content and platform guidelines. Although we notify our partners when their titles do not follow these guidelines, Nintendo does not modify the content offered by partners in any way. We also do not communicate on the content in question or on the criteria used for these evaluations. »
We will still have to wait for AdHoc to be a little more precise on the subject to get to the bottom of this story, but Nintendo is probably not to blame here.
