Meanwhile, GOG is stocking up on Final Fantasy
We still don’t know why Square Enix wants to replace today this version published in 2013 of Final Fantasy VII on Steam, but the publisher indicated that a new version was on the way. No release date has yet been indicated, but it is indicated that when it is released, the 2013 version will no longer be accessible, unless you have already purchased the game. And no need to go back to checkout for this new version, because if you have the old one (well, the current one for the moment), you will be able to obtain this 2026 version for free. However, your saves will not be compatible from one version to another.
Waiting to see what this version of Final Fantasy VII will bring, the rest of the saga is also getting a makeover on PC, and more precisely on the GOG side. Today we discover that the online store has added four episodes to its catalognamely:
- Final Fantasy III (3D Remake)
- Final Fantasy IV (3D Remake)
- Final Fantasy VIII Remastered
- Final Fantasy IX
These four titles are now available on GOG, and to celebrate their arrival, they are 60% off.
