The expected announcements
Like every year, the Game Awards will highlight the “World Premiere” much more than the developers who receive statuettes, and that is why the ceremony lasts more than three hours (we also thank the advertisements for that). Which means that we’re going to see games come through in packs of dozens. And we already know the identity of several of them, since their presence was announced on social networks.
Here is the list of games already confirmed for the Game Awards 2025 :
Several cases deserve attention here. tomb Raider to begin with, the announcement of which is vague to say the least. We know that the future of the series will be clarified during the Game Awards, but however, we do not know if the next episode of Crystal Dynamics will be shown. A doubt which has been accentuated by rumors of a remake of certain episodes, the sources of which are still too vague to be taken seriously. But when you know how hectic life at the studio has been lately, you can expect anything or nothing.
We will also not fail to keep a very curious eye on the Wildflower Interactive game. This name probably doesn’t mean anything to you, but this is the first title developed by a new team led by Bruce Straley, whose CV is rather substantial since he has co-directed quite a few games Uncharted (2 and 4), in addition to The Last of Us. We find him today in a universe that seems very far from all that, with a game that seems very colorful.
And all this is without forgetting the game behind the mysterious monolithwhich has fueled so much discussion in recent days. The identity of the game behind this project has obviously been found, but we redirect you to our dedicated article if you want to know the answer. We also have many guesses about certain games (like Control 2), but we’ll keep our inner Nostradamus quiet and focus only on the really confirmed games.
Where and when to watch The Game Awards?
If you haven’t yet marked everything on your calendar, know that the Game Awards will take place in the night of Thursday 11 to Friday 12 December, from 1:30 a.m.. As usual, a pre-show will take place half an hour before with a few announcements before the big part begins.
You can follow the Game Awards on Twitch or on YouTube. For the first time this year, the ceremony will also be visible on Amazon Prime Video for subscribers.
