On the official X account of the anime adaptation of “I Became a Legend After My 10 Year-Long Last Stand” it was announced today that the start of the series had to be postponed. We summarize below.

Postponed to July 2026

“I Became a Legend After My 10 Year-Long Last Stand” was originally scheduled to premiere on Japanese television in April 2026, but has now been rescheduled for July 2026 due to production delays.

Studio Gekko is responsible for the adaptation, with Hiroyuki Kanbe (“Jack-of-All-Trades, Party of None”) taking over as director and Mitsutaka Hirota (“Seirei Gensouki”) writing the script. Majiro creates the character design.

The original light novel series of the same name by Gingitsune Ezo has been published in Japan since February 2019 with illustrations by DeeCHA. The manga adaptation is available in German from Egmont-Verlag under the title “I fought between the dimensions for ten years and returned as a legend”.
