Even seven years after the release of Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar’s Wild West continues to attract thousands of players every day. Red Dead Online multiplayer mode remains active thanks to regular events offered by the studio.
For the month of March 2026, Rockstar Games has just announced a new Moonshiners event. For several weeks, players can enjoy significant bonuses, exclusive items and additional rewards by participating in activities related to alcohol smuggling.
Red Dead Online has a new Moonshiners event in March
The heart of this event is Moonshiners sales. Throughout March, players can earn Double RDO$, XP, and Role XP by completing these missions.
These sales consist of producing and transporting moonshine throughout the game’s territories, an activity that remains one of the most efficient ways to make money in Red Dead Online. The rewards don’t stop there. Players can also unlock several cosmetic items by progressing through Moonshiners activities.
Successfully completing a first sale allows you to immediately obtain the green Torbay vest. Reaching level 20 in the clandestine distiller role unlocks the brown Ortega vest. Certain special missions also allow you to obtain the white Cossack hat by destroying customs agent roadblocks to secure smuggling routes.
Weekly rewards to unlock until March 30
Rockstar has also planned a series of rewards spread over several weeks. Players who log in regularly can collect different exclusive items. From March 3rd to March 9th, completing the mission “Blood Ties Are Stronger Than Alcohol” will reward you with the Tan Porter Jacket.
Between March 10 and 16, completing three daily challenges unlocks the Black Salter Shoes. From March 17 to 23, simply log in to the game to claim the Churchwell Green Vest. Finally, between March 24 and March 30, progressing through the moonshiner rank five times or reaching rank 20 will earn you the “Slow Applause” emoticon.
Some missions yield three times the rewards
In addition to Moonshiners sales, several in-game missions offer particularly high payouts during this event. Moonshiner Story missions and A Land of Opportunities missions grant three times the RDO$ and experience. This allows you to quickly increase your level and earn virtual money much faster than usual. The Bluewater contract also benefits from a rewards multiplier. Players who complete a Blood Money contract can also collect the Steel Goggles as a special item.
A limited time event for players
This Moonshiners event remains available for a limited time. Rockstar Games has confirmed that all these rewards will remain accessible until March 30, 2026. Players who wish to collect the exclusive items and take advantage of the bonuses will therefore have to participate in Moonshiners activities before the end of this period.
