“So What’s Wrong with Getting Reborn as a Goblin?” gets anime + visual


Through the opening of an official website, it was announced today that the manga series “So What’s Wrong with Getting Reborn as a Goblin?” (Japanese: “Tensei Goblin Dakedo Shitsumon Aru?”) will receive an anime adaptation in the form of a TV series in October 2026. Anime by Studio BAKKA

The anime adaptation of “So What’s Wrong with Getting Reborn as a Goblin?” is directed by Ryouta Kawahara (“Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night”) and produced at Studio BAKKA. Yuuichirou Momose (“The Witch and the Beast”) is writing the script, while Hiroyuki Saita is contributing the character design.

The main roles of the Japanese cast include Kikunosuke Toya (Denji in “Chainsaw Man”) as Akira and Youko Hikasa (Stephanie Dola in “No Game No Life”) as Karen. Azusa Tachibana (Yuu Yuutani in “Bad Girl”) voices the character Chloe.

The original manga series of the same name was written by Nazuna Miki and has been published in Shueisha’s “Tonari no Young Jump” magazine since February 2020 with drawings by Tsukasa Araki. The work is not yet available in German.

The good-natured office worker Akira Yagami usually gets the short end of the stick. When he saves a child from a speeding car and dies in the process, he is reborn in another world – as a goblin.

Although goblins usually only have a lifespan of seven days, his extraordinary powers allow him to live longer and pave the way for him to become the most powerful goblin of all time.
