PS5 Pro Enhanced PSSR Coming to Crimson Desert, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and More

Cyberpunk 2077 and others to follow

Among the strengths of the PS5 Pro, we note PSSR technology (for PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution). This AI library analyzes images pixel by pixel and upscales the rendering in order to improve it. Basically, it is thanks to it that we can enjoy both the best framerate and the best possible resolution without having to consume an unreasonable number of resources for a decent console.

And Mark Cerny had said it, an improved version of this PSSR would arrive to improve these performances. If, in recent days, the first to have inherited this update is none other than the ultra-popular Resident Evil Requiemother games complete the list from third-party publishers.

First, and despite a preview from Digital Foundry based on the old version of PSSR, Crimson Desert will indeed ship it on March 19, the day of its release. Next, here is the list of other games which, from March 17 at 6 a.m.will welcome the improved PSSR update:

  • Silent Hill 2 Remake
  • Silent Hill
  • Dragon Age: The Veilguard
  • Alan Wake 2
  • Control
  • Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II
  • Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
  • Nioh 3
  • Rise of the Ronin
  • Monster Hunter Wilds
  • Dragon’s Dogma 2

Here is a very nice little list which will perhaps make you want to (re)launch one of these games. On paper in any case, they seem to be interesting candidates for better technical performance. Note that other games will very soon inherit this improved PSSR, such as Assassin’s Creed Shadows And Cyberpunk 2077knowing that the dropper will continue and that future productions will integrate it by default.
