Good news for PlayStation players: no need to have a PS Plus subscription to test several new titles currently available for free on PS4 and PS5. Sony is making six playable demos available now. These trials allow you to discover games before their official release, in various genres ranging from narrative games to cooperative survival horror.
Fishbowl and Ereban open the ball of PS5 demos
Among the titles available is Fishbowl, a narrative game combining introspection and surrealism. As the source describes it: “In this narrative adventure where dreams, grief and hope intertwine, Fishbowl invites you to rediscover your memories and find the path to healing.” Another proposal: Ereban: Shadow Legacy. This stealth platform game places players in the shoes of Ayana, endowed with powers linked to shadows. The objective: to unravel the mysteries of his past and save the world.
Rhythm Towers and Mina the Hollower, two radically different styles
For fans of rhythm and strategy, Rhythm Towers combines tower defense and music. Players must build and upgrade tempo-synchronized defensive towers to fend off enemies. For its part, Mina the Hollower, developed by the creators of Shovel Knight, offers a 2D pixel art adventure. Exploration, combat and demanding levels are on the program.
REANIMAL and Darwin’s Paradox complete the selection
The studio behind Little Nightmares returns with REANIMAL, a cooperative horror game with a dark atmosphere. “In REANIMAL, players will follow the story of a young brother and sister who must go through hell to save their missing friends and escape the island they once called home.” Finally, Darwin’s Paradox!, published by Konami, features an octopus snatched from the ocean and confronted with a mysterious industrial complex, in a mix of action and platform puzzles.
Free trials before the official release
These six games are available as a free demo now on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, without the need for a PS Plus subscription. As the article points out: “All of these games, and hundreds more, are currently available to try for free before their full launch. This gives you the perfect opportunity to try before you buy.” An ideal opportunity to test these titles before their final release.
