As the end of the year approaches, subscribers to PS Plus Extra and Premium services are seeing the removal date of several games approaching from their library. If Sony has still not officially communicated on the subject, a silent update of the PlayStation Store confirmed what some already feared: several titles will indeed disappear from the subscription service. “Sony has quietly expanded the list of games that will leave the PS Plus Extra and Premium plans in December.”
Among the games concerned, we find in particular a title praised for its artistic direction and its narration: 11-11 Memories Retold. This game developed by DigixArt and published by Bandai Namco is now listed as leaving PS Plus on December 16, 2025, according to its listing on the US and European PlayStation Store. “The much-noticed 11-11 Memories Retold, published by Bandai Namco, will disappear from the catalog on December 16, 2025.” A discreet departure, without mention in the “Last Chance to Play” section of the official site, although it is supposed to warn subscribers.
A bulk withdrawal which concerns many games
The withdrawal of 11-11 Memories Retold will not be an isolated case. The current list includes around ten games confirmed to be withdrawn on the same day. In addition to narrative gameplay inspired by impressionist painting, AAA titles like Forspoken Or Battlefield 2042 will also disappear.
- 11-11 Memories Retold
- Forspoken
- Battlefield 2042
- Grand Theft Auto III
- Sonic Frontiers
- Surviving Mars
- Star Trek: Bridge Crew
- Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge
- Firefighting Simulator: The Squad
- Arcade Paradise VR
This mix of blockbusters, independent productions and VR games shows that all categories are affected.
Why 11-11 Memories Retold deserves your attention before it leaves
Released in 2018, 11-11 Memories Retold never achieved massive commercial success, but it left its mark on the players who immersed themselves in it. The game tells the story of World War I through the eyes of two opposing characters: a German engineer and a Canadian soldier. Its graphic style evoking the brushstrokes of an impressionist painting, coupled with an immersive soundscape and a calm narration, make it a singular work.
The game can be completed in a few hours and even offers free narrative DLC, WarChildCharityalso accessible. For subscribers who have never played it, the timing is perfect to discover it before it’s too late.
Should we expect further withdrawals before mid-December?
To date, no official communication from Sony has been released regarding these removals. The mention of December 16 on the Store sheets remains the only reliable indication. This lack of transparency does not reassure certain players, who still fear other unlisted deletions. “Even if the players now hope that the list will remain stable.”
The most cautious subscribers would therefore have every interest in launching the games in their backlog as quickly as possible, in particular those already identified as starters. After December 16, access to these titles will be permanently blocked via PS Plus, even if they had been started before.
