The free TV broadcaster ProSieben MAXX announced today that it has secured the license for “One Piece Log: Fish-Man Island Saga” and will broadcast all episodes as a TV premiere in just a few weeks. We summarize.
TV premiere in January 2026
On January 1, 2026 from 11:10 a.m. to 8:15 p.m., the version of the “Fishman Island” arc of “One Piece,” shortened from 57 to 21 episodes, can be seen with a German dub on ProSieben MAXX. The individual episodes will then be available free of charge in the media library on Joyn for a limited time.
The studio Toei Animation, directed by Tatsuya Nagamine, was responsible for producing the revised version, which ran on Japanese television from November 2024 to March 2025 and features, among other things, stronger contours, new light and shadow effects and new theme songs.
From December 17, 2025 at 6:30 p.m., ProSieben MAXX will show episodes 1101 to 1122 of “One Piece” for the first time. All new episodes should flicker across screens before the end of this year, although the specific broadcast dates between Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 have not yet been confirmed.
“One Piece” has a total of 1,151 episodes so far. The series will run on Crunchyroll, ADN and Netflix in simulcast and will take a three-month break from January 2026 before returning in April 2026 with the “Elbaph” arc.
