Since December 28, 2025, Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can collect a selection of exclusive icons from Kirby and the Forgotten Land free of charge. These icons, which can be used on Switch console player profiles, are available for free download… but only for 48 hours. This flash format, inspired by the platform’s daily rebroadcasts, offers two waves of content simultaneously, renewed every day until the end of the year.
Other iconic games in the spotlight
Nintendo isn’t just about Kirby. Players can also get free icons from other flagship universes like F-Zero 99, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Super Mario Odyssey or even Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. A limited series of visuals is available until December 29, before a new rotation expected from Thursday, to mark the transition to 2026.
How to download them to your Switch
To take advantage of it, simply turn on your console, open the Nintendo Switch Online application, then go to the “Missions and rewards” tab. Once the section is opened, the currently streaming icons appear immediately. Downloading is not automatic: players will need to exchange Platinum Points to unlock the desired items.
Rewards accessible to all subscribers
Platinum Points, Nintendo’s virtual currency, can be easily earned by completing daily missions, such as launching a game or visiting the eShop. They are therefore accessible to all subscribers, even those who do not play intensely.
With this special operation, Nintendo closes the year on a generous and colorful note. Fans of Kirby, often honored by the Japanese firm, will be delighted to see their hero available in a wide range of shapes, poses and customizable backgrounds. But we will have to act quickly, because in less than two days, these icons will return to Nintendo’s coffers… for an indefinite period.
