Japanese animation studio MAPPA is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a special music video, special anniversary visuals for three of its biggest anime successes and plenty of news about upcoming titles. We summarize.

At the anniversary event last Friday, MAPPA presented, among other things, new teasers for the sequels to “Jujutsu Kaisen”, “Dorohedoro”, “Chainsaw Man” and “Ranma 1/2”. The anime adaptations of “Fall in Love, You False Angels”, “Beat & Motion” and “Jimoto Saikou!” were also announced.
With “Seikatsu,” the studio also released a short film in collaboration with the band PEOPLE 1. MAPPA President Manabu Otsuka served as the project planner, while Akiko Kudou directed, storyboarded and character designed.
The short film, which you can watch later in this article, tells about the encounters and decisions of different people and combines these with elements of the anime production process.
Even before the anniversary presentation, MAPPA revealed three special key visuals for “Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc”, “Attack on Titan: Final Season” and “Jujutsu Kaisen”. The illustrations were created specifically for the 15th anniversary and implemented by artists from the respective production teams.
MAPPA was founded in 2011 and within a few years became one of the most successful and influential anime studios in Japan. In recent years, in addition to the series already mentioned, “Hell’s Paradise”, “Yuri!!!” have also been created there. on Ice”, “Vinland Saga” and “Kakegurui”.
