Since its official announcement in December 2023, Grand Theft Auto VI has become the most scrutinized game of the decade. Developed by Rockstar Games, the title is expected for November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Two trailers have already been released, but communication has become more discreet in recent months. Result: the community scrutinizes the slightest clue.
The third trailer mentioned for the summer
According to Tom Henderson, specialist journalist and regular on the Insider Gaming show, the third trailer could be released at the beginning of August. He recently reaffirmed that he doesn’t expect to see this new promotional video before the summer, but that an August release remains plausible. A timing that would not be trivial.
A potential link with Take-Two
Historically, Take-Two Interactive, parent company of Rockstar Games, regularly organizes financial conferences intended for investors. It is not uncommon for important announcements to occur following these official communications. A GTA 6 trailer released shortly after a strategy meeting would therefore surprise no one. And above all: a new trailer could mark the opening of digital pre-orders.
Digital pre-orders still closed
At this time, GTA 6 cannot yet be pre-ordered digitally on the PlayStation Store or the Microsoft Store. Only certain brands offer physical pre-orders. For many players, the posting of the third trailer would be the official signal for the launch of digital pre-orders.
And after the trailer?
The next big unknown concerns Grand Theft Auto Online. An update or presentation dedicated to the future GTA Online could follow in the following weeks. Regarding the PC version, Rockstar has still not announced anything. Traditionally, ports arrive about a year after the console release. In the meantime, the date of November 19, 2026 remains maintained. And each new rumor only fuels impatience.
