Gran Turismo 7 receives an important new update with a shower of new free features

The Gran Turismo 7 garage continues to expand. After a break in February, Polyphony Digital is preparing a new free update for its famous car simulation game. Patch 1.68 will be deployed on March 12, 2026 on PlayStation and will introduce several new features expected by players.

On the program for this March 2026 update, three new cars join the game’s selection while four new races appear on circuits around the world. Several technical adjustments and new features also modify the driving experience.

Three new cars join Gran Turismo 7

The most visible novelty concerns the arrival of three additional vehicles in the Gran Turismo 7 garage. The first is undoubtedly the most spectacular. This is the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Race-Mod, a deeply modified version of the classic American model. This preparation imagined by the Polyphony Digital team takes up the spirit of the old racing versions present in the first episodes of the series.

The car adopts a wide body kit, a central exhaust and a completely lightweight passenger compartment for competition. Under the hood, a supercharged V8 engine develops 657.8 horsepower, transforming this vintage muscle car into a true racing machine.

A second model completes the selection with the Mazda ɛ̃fini RX-7 Type R (FD) ’91. This version corresponds to one of the first variations of the famous FD generation RX-7. The game already offered a similar model, but this variant corresponds to the version before the restyling. Finally, the third added car is much more discreet. The Renault Captur S Edition TCe 140 ’21 represents a modern compact SUV. This model contrasts with the two other vehicles in the patch, more oriented towards performance and sporty driving.

Four new races on world circuits

Update 1.68 also expands World Circuits mode with four additional single-player events. Players will be able to participate in a new European Sunday Cup 400 race on the Dragon Trail circuit in its Gardens Reverse configuration. A Japanese Clubman Cup 550 event is also appearing at Kyoto Driving Park – Yamagiwa Reverse.

As for the North American circuits, the Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta now hosts an American Clubman Cup 700 event. Finally, the famous Gilles-Villeneuve circuit hosts a World Touring Car 800 race, further expanding the competition possibilities. At the same time, the track experience becomes available for Grand Valley – South, allowing players to learn each sector of the route with precision.

New Features and Gameplay Changes

Beyond the additional content, several technical improvements accompany this March 2026 update. Time Trial mode now introduces performance balancing, called BoP. This feature allows you to adjust the characteristics of the cars to ensure fairer competition conditions. However, the system remains unavailable on dirt or snow circuits as well as on heavily modified vehicles.

The game also gets a new tool called drift analyzer in the data logger. This feature allows players to more precisely study their trajectories during drift sessions.

Economic adjustments and other improvements

The update also changes the game’s economy for rarer cars. The prices of vehicles in the Hagerty collection have been revised upwards to better reflect real developments in the collector car market. These new prices will be applied gradually during the next rotations of these vehicles in the store.

Other adjustments concern the Ferrari 296 GT3 ’23 whose steering angle in cockpit view has been modified to match that of the other cars in the game. Finally, various localization fixes and technical improvements have been integrated to improve the overall stability of the game.
