Epic Games: two cult games offered for free, to collect as quickly as possible

Every week, PC game enthusiasts have taken to scanning the Epic Games Store in search of the next free game to grab. Most of the time, these are small independent productions, often well rated, but little publicized. However, this week in November 2025 is an exception to the rule: it is a title linked to one of the most iconic monsters of cinema which joins the selection. And he’s not alone.

Godzilla Voxel Warsa tactical strategy game with a pixelated aesthetic, is now available free of charge for all users of the platform, until November 27. Initially released in 2023, it received a decent but discreet reception. Its free presence on Epic is the ideal opportunity to give it a second life.

A strategic Godzilla, yes, it exists (and it works)

Forget kaiju fights Smash Bros or simulations of urban destruction: Voxel Wars is a turn-based game inspired by the mechanics of Into the Breach. You play as the famous monsters of the Godzilla universe, such as Mechagodzilla, Mothra or King Ghidorah, in a war against the Fungoids, an invasive alien race.

Developed by Nukenin LLC and published by TOHO Games, the video game subsidiary of the legendary Japanese studio, the game is based on strategic puzzle mechanics where each move can make the difference. The voxel aesthetic, deliberately retro, gives the game an unexpected charm, which contrasts with the brutality of its universe.

Why it went under the radar when it came out

Released discreetly in 2023, Godzilla Voxel Wars has never benefited from a major global communications plan. Little relayed by the major specialized media and limited to digital distribution, it remained in the shadow of more spectacular or more anticipated titles. However, the critics who were interested in it at the time praised its originality, its readability and its fidelity to the Toho universe.

With its temporary free release, the game benefits from new and deserved exposure. It could appeal to an audience curious to rediscover the Godzilla license from another angle, far from the explosive blockbusters.

Another game offered this week: Zoeti

In the shadow of Godzilla Voxel Warsa second game is also offered for free on the Epic Games Store: Zoeti. Developed by Akupara Games, this roguelike combines turn-based combat and deck building. The player must make card combinations inspired by poker (pair, suit, full house, etc.) to activate attacks or defenses.

The game universe is more classic, based on a land invaded by darkness, but the tactical approach and the variety of strategies to develop make it an ideal companion for puzzle enthusiasts looking for a rewarding challenge.

Two free games, two styles, one opportunity

Whether you are a fan of giant monsters or occult card arts, the week of November 20 to 27, 2025 offers an interesting double. On the one hand, a little-known Godzilla who plays like a military puzzle. On the other, a card roguelike rich in possibilities. All without spending a cent. And as always with Epic free games: once added to your library, they’re yours forever.
