While many were waiting for a console expansion or spin-off, Cyberpunk 2077 returns in a completely different form. Titled Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome Rush, this new title is an arcade racing and fighting game developed by UNISGames under official license from CD Projekt. The particularity? It will be exclusively available in arcades.

A unique physical immersion

Chrome Rush is not played with the classic controller. Players take a seat on a life-size replica motorcycle equipped with motion controls. The experience promises total immersion, with a 65-inch 4K screen to recreate the visual intensity of Night City.

Characters, circuits and arsenal

The game will feature eight playable characters, including male and female versions of V. Other pilots such as Vixen, Reaver, Rico, Tex and Rebel were seen during early public demonstrations.

  • Eight motorcycle variants
  • Four distinct circuits
  • Corporate Plaza
  • North Oak
  • Badlands
  • A fourth route still kept secret

But Chrome Rush isn’t just about speed. Players will be able to use emblematic weapons from the Cyberpunk universe: pistols, rockets and even katanas. The gameplay mixes racing and direct confrontations, in a spirit reminiscent of certain arcade classics.

An experience designed for multiplayer

Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome Rush will allow two players to compete against each other simultaneously. A Nitro Boost mode is also integrated to provide explosive acceleration at strategic moments. This arcade positioning revives an almost forgotten tradition of AAA licenses: the physical and competitive adaptation in a dedicated terminal.

An imminent release in 2026

According to information shared at the Amusement Expo International in Las Vegas, the first units should be delivered to arcade operators as early as April. For the moment, no console or PC version has been mentioned. However, given the visual quality and the excitement generated by the first gameplay videos, some fans are already hoping for a domestic adaptation in the future.
