Call of Duty players can mark a date on their calendar. The third season of Black Ops 7 and Warzone will begin on Friday, April 2, just over a week from now.
The announcement was made via the franchise’s official social networks, accompanied by a poster highlighting a new weapon: the Javelin. The promotional message reads: “Turn it up! Javelin brings precision and power to Season 03, available on Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty Warzone on April 2. »
A new weapon to kick off the season
The Javelin will be one of the major additions of this new season. Even if the technical details still remain unclear, the official communication emphasizes two elements: precision and power. Traditionally, each new season brings:
- New weapons
- Balancing adjustments
- Additional multiplayer content
- Updates for Warzone
You will have to wait for the full patch notes to find out all of the new features.
Important changes for ranked mode
Season 2 is scheduled to end on March 25. Starting March 26 and running through March 31, the top 250 players will compete in the end-of-season Ranked Series. Ranked Mode will then be temporarily disabled for one day, before reopening with the official launch of Season 3 on April 2. This transition aims to restructure the end of the season and further highlight the best competitive players.
Activision continues to adjust its competitive ecosystem
Activision recently communicated several changes related to Call of Duty, including in response to information leaks and adjustments to ranked mode. At the same time, the Call of Duty League continues its competitive season with Major 2, consolidating the importance of the esports scene around the franchise. With Season 3 approaching, players can expect a significant update for both Black Ops 7 and Warzone.
