According to what is reported, a project to relaunch the Game One channel is indeed under studyand this with new owners. When the channel closed, the members of Game One’s flagship show, Team G1, came together under the banner La Team Le Respawn on Twitch, but we would be talking here about a real return to television.
David Neichelwho is the former CEO of ESL Gaming (esport company), but also former commercial director of Canal+, would be at the origin of this return in the company of several investors. Discussions have reportedly been underway for several weeks, particularly with various groups that could act as partners. If this return is well implemented and financed, it could be effective from September 1, 2026. We would thus find most of the known faces of the channel, from Marcus to Julien Tellouck via Kayane.
And obviously, this would potentially be under a new name, the Game One brand owned by Paramount (although negotiations are reportedly underway on this). This also raises questions about the channel’s programming, because apart from “in-house” shows like Team G1, we still do not know what could constitute the rest of the schedule. To be continued.
