Progression retained for the full game
The recent remakes of the first three episodes of Dragon Quest have demonstrated a certain know-how from Square Enix to effectively bring a lesser-known part of the license to the forefront. But the case Dragon Quest VII Reimagined plays on a different table, by offering a revisit as much graphic as structural, leaving aside HD-2D for a diorama-style 3D modeling with characters bordering on chibi.
The curiosity is therefore rather palpable and the announcement of a demo is particularly welcome. To accompany it, the opening cinematic was broadcast on the networks, showing its characters in action, all covered by the emblematic main theme of the saga.
Several good news about this demo should be noted. Besides its obvious free nature, you won’t have to wait long since it will be available on January 8, on all platforms affected by the release of the game. Then, the progress you have accumulated during your session will be kept for the full game. Added to this is a “Day Off Dress” costume for Maribel, which will join your wardrobe if you play this demo.
Dragon Quest VII Reimagined will arrive on February 5 on PC (via Steam and Microsoft Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 and Switch. Do not hesitate to consult our preview produced in November for more details on the game.
