MercurySteam tries its luck again with Blades of Fire, which returns with a version 2.0 and a Steam version

An improved version to build a better reputation

Even with deals that can be attractive on the Epic Games Store, depriving yourself of a release on Steam seems to be more than counterproductive today. Releasing on the Valve platform from the outset might not have saved the furniture for Blades of Firebut the title might have made a little more noise. We must believe that this exclusivity at Epic Games was intended to last one year, since just before the first anniversary of the game, Blades of Fire will land on Steam on May 14, and will be directly compatible with Steam Deck.

In addition to this Steam version which will perhaps help grow the game’s audience, Blades of Fire will have a free version 2.0 which will also be available on other platforms, such as PS5 and Xbox Series.

This new version will offer a lot of new features such as a New Game+ mode, a Photo mode, a mode to re-face all the bosses, as well as additional weapon skins and new features, such as a transmutation to transform certain materials. We will also find some visual improvements like the animations which will be improved, and the possibility of better reassigning the keys via the keyboard/mouse combo. To see if all this will allow MercurySteam to cover its costs a little more with this project.
