As the holidays come to an end, Epic Games closes its free games calendar with an impactful multiplayer title: Chivalry 2. Available at no cost for only 24 hours, this first-person medieval combat game could well become the best surprise of this year-end for PC gamers.
Distributed via the Epic Games Store, Chivalry 2 is available for free this December 31, 2025. An express offer not to be missed: it will end tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. (Eastern time). Other free games are planned as of January 1, but their identity still remains secret at the time of writing these lines.
A cult medieval multiplayer game just a click away
“Chivalry 2 is free on the Epic Games Store for 24 hours.” Launched in 2021 by Canadian studio Torn Banner Studios, the title has managed to maintain a loyal community, passionate about its spectacular online clashes.
Up to 64 players can compete in battles inspired by historical films, combining castle sieges, catapult assaults and brutal hand-to-hand combat. This is the perfect opportunity to test this game without paying anything, especially since it is still usually sold for around 40 euros.
What to expect when launching Chivalry 2?
“Chivalry 2 is a first-person multiplayer action game inspired by the epic battles of medieval films.” The atmosphere is bloody, the action nervous and the settings rich in detail. Each part offers team objectives which immerse players in varied scenarios: defense of a castle, capture of a village, execution of peasants…
It’s also a game that doesn’t always take itself seriously: some moves are overly theatrical, and the sometimes absurd tone contrasts with the violence of the clashes. It is this mixture that has attracted a loyal fan base for more than four years.
What free games after Chivalry 2?
The Epic Games Store’s daily holiday promotion ends with this latest offer, but it will continue in weekly mode starting January 1st. Two new free games will go live, although their names have not yet been revealed.
Epic therefore maintains a dynamic highly anticipated by players, who scrutinize new releases every week. To make sure you don’t miss anything, it is advisable to check the store every Thursday at 5 p.m. (French time), the traditional time for updates.
