Rayman 2 returns to Switch consoles via Nintendo Switch Online subscription

Double dose of Rayman, or almost

Nintendo has revealed the identity of two upcoming titles joining the Nintendo 64 Nintendo Classics catalog via the Nintendo Switch Online + Additional Pack subscription, and one of the two games in question is none other than Rayman 2: The Great Escape.

The cult title will return on December 17 on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 via subscription, and will allow you to relive one of the best-known episodes with this character, released more than 25 years ago now. Don’t expect too many technical improvements here since we’re talking about a simple port, and not a remaster, but finding Rayman should still be a pleasure, no matter in what state.

Moreover, Rayman 2 will not be the only game to join the catalog on this date, because Tonic Trouble will also be added to the service. So you will have, in a way, a double dose of Rayman 2 since Tonic Trouble was also designed by Michel Ancel and developed by Ubisoft (Ubi Soft Montreal at the time).
