PS Plus: the 9 free games of December 2025 are available, they are very good



With the holidays fast approaching, Sony is slipping a nice gift under the tree for PlayStation Plus subscribers: nine new games freshly added to the Extra and Premium plans. Something to fill the long winter evenings, whether you’re a thrill-seeker or a parent looking for a game suited to the youngest.

After announcing the Essential tier titles at the end of November, including LEGO: Horizon Adventures and The Outlast Trials, the time has now come for additions to the Extra and Premium levels. The December 2025 selection has some nice surprises in store, mixing anticipated blockbusters and family titles.

This month, these are nine new titles which join the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalogs, in addition to a game already launched in Day One. Among the headliners: Assassin’s Creed Miragehailed for his return to his roots, and Wo Long: Fallen Dynastya demanding title in the vein of Souls-type games.

The reviews are rave. “For anyone who has lost the love of the Assassin’s Creed series during RPG games, I encourage you to take a leap of faith with Assassin’s Creed Mirage, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed,” writes Sam Cawley in his review of Ubisoft’s game.

For his part, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty does not spare his players. Described as a “Souls-type game with a good dose of adrenaline”, it will delight fans of tough challenges. “If you like Nioh, Sekiro or Ninja Gaiden, you will love this adventure,” the review continues.

The December program is not only aimed at experienced gamers. Several titles target a younger or family audience. This is the case of Paw Patrol: Grand Prix And Paw Patrol Worldtwo accessible and fun games, perfect for keeping children busy during school holidays.

Construction and management enthusiasts will find Planet Coaster 2while Cat Quest III And Skate Story respectively promise colorful exploration and urban poetry. Finally, LEGO: Horizon Adventures completes the whole thing, combining humor and action in a brick-style post-apocalyptic universe.

A cult classic returns

The icing on the cake is that Sony also offers a touch of nostalgia to Premium subscribers with the addition of Soulcalibur III. Originally released in 2005, this iconic fighting game returns to the catalog, ready to revive the memorable duels of an entire generation of players.

With these additions, the PlayStation Plus catalog is strengthened just in time for the holidays. Whether you’re a fan of epic stories, strategy or family games, it’s hard not to find what you’re looking for this month.
