For this edition ahead of the Game Awards 2025, the Wholesome Snack refocused on around twenty titles. If we invite you to watch the conference in its entirety (at the end of the article), we offer you a selection of the major announcements (and the games that piqued our interest).
Find Your Words

Funny name for funny game: beetle: be right back! is an adventure game played on the keyboard. A sequel to the typing game where we will have to go in search of our pet beetle. An epic journey that will take you to various colorful lands to visit while meeting many people along the way. Of course, all at your own pace to fully enjoy a relaxing moment.
Bits & Bops

A little rhythm in this selection, with Bits & Bopswhich features a collection of tempo-based minigames. Hit nails at the right time, press the right button to immortalize a unique photo, send the dancefloor into a frenzy… If you like Rhythm Paradise, this should tickle your fancy. And surprise, the game announces a shadowdrop, in other words, it is available now!
Cozy Caravan

Already available in early access for a good year, Cozy Caravan has come to formalize the arrival of its final version 1.0. This adventure which highlights exploration has been very well received by the community and offers you the opportunity to take part in a journey aboard an old caravan where you will have to prepare delicious meals, run a stand during market days, and sell your creations. If you haven’t yet taken part in this getaway, you can do so early Januaryboth on PC and on Switch and Apple Arcade.
D-topia

Despite its situation, Annapurna Interactive seems to still have some contracts to honor. Among the latter, there is the creation of Marumittu Games, a young Japanese studio, which will make us experience a dystopia based on artificial intelligence. D-topiait is its name, like the world in which we will be immersed. Here, life is run by AI to maximize people’s happiness. Your role will be to solve puzzles to continue to make this ideal prosper, all at your own pace.
ReStory

Let’s return to a brand new title presented, ReStorya new console repair simulation game. Finally, among other things, since you will have to manage your own electronic repair workshop in Japan in the early 2000s. Whether it is old consoles, mobile phones, Tamagotchi, music players or old cameras, it is up to you to restore them for a second life. A good burst of nostalgia.
Lost and Found Co.

Take the concept of Where’s Waldo, transpose it into a video game, enhance it all with beautiful, colorful levels, and you get Lost and Found Co. As Ducky, an intern at a start-up that helps people find their lost items, you will have to inspect numerous paintings to find hidden secrets here and there. The demo convinced many curious people and we now know its final release date: February 11.
Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth

Because the Wholesome Snack is also an opportunity to offer some demos to enjoy, it was impossible not to mention that of Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth. This story inspired by the adventures of Moomin the Troll by Tove Jansson promises us a touching winter journey, where we will follow a hero awakened a little too early from his hibernation. A new trailer has been revealed, right for Moomin’s 80th anniversary.
Verdant

Another new game announcement to remember is that of Verdantan adventure game which presents itself as an initiatory story through a lush and post-apocalyptic Germany of the 1980s. You will follow the journey of a young adventurer who tries to survive in this new world, with an escapade that we are described as bittersweet. A story of how the world has changed and the role they will play in its future.
Thrifty Business

We end with another announcement, that of Thrifty Businessfrom the creators of the much-loved StickyBusiness. We stay quite close to the idea with a simulation and management game, where this time, you will have to manage your vintage thrift store inspired by the 90s. By searching through a few boxes, you will decide to revalue them to sell them in your small friendly space.
