Netflix secures drama film “100 METERS” + trailer


The streaming service Netflix announced today that it has secured the license to “100 METERS” (Japanese: “Hyakuemu.”). We summarize.

From December 31, 2025

The approximately 106-minute drama film “100 METERS” will be available on demand from December 31, 2025 in the original Japanese language with subtitles. It is currently unclear whether a German dubbing will also be offered.

The Rock’n Roll Mountain studio was responsible for the production of the film, which premiered in Japan on September 19, 2025, with Kenji Iwaisawa (“Mumei no Jinsei”) taking over the position of director.

The original manga series of the same name written by Uoto was released in five volumes in Japanese stores between November 2018 and August 2019. The work is currently neither available with a German nor an English translation.
