Street Fighter arrives in Call of Duty, an unexpected crossover that will make noise

In the world of video games, certain crossovers are almost science fiction. And yet, Call of Duty Mobile has just made it official: from December 11, 2025, four emblematic Street Fighter characters are arriving in the world of the famous FPS. An unexpected announcement, which takes everyone by surprise, but which fits perfectly into the event logic of Activision’s mobile game.

Ryu, Chun-Li, Akuma and Cammy, absolute icons of the fighting game, will temporarily join the ranks of playable operators. “The Call of Duty x Street Fighter crossover will deliver new Operators, a host of themed weapons tied to the Street Fighter universe, and additional exclusive rewards to event participants through December.”

  • Exclusive rewards: to be won throughout the duration of the event

COD Mobile: a crossover machine that never stops

Since its launch, Call of Duty Mobile has established itself as a much freer creative showcase than its console cousins. Unlike classic annual opuses, the mobile game fully embraces the game-as-a-service model with regular, often unexpected events.

In recent months, the platform has hosted crossovers as varied as they are ambitious: Gundam, Rambo, the characters from Nier, and even Lionel Messi. And now, Street Fighter. “It’s a bold crossover that no one really anticipated, but is nonetheless welcome.”

With its millions of active players and its technical flexibility, Call of Duty Mobile is becoming a scene for pop experiments, where boundaries between genres no longer exist.

An operation calibrated for the fans and the anniversary of the game

This partnership also celebrates a key moment for the mobile franchise: its sixth anniversary. By bringing together two historic giants of Japanese and American video games, Activision is marking the occasion with a campaign that will get people talking as much as it will delight players.

The competitive nature of Street Fighter and the fast-paced dynamics of Call of Duty Mobile find common ground in this bold crossover, allowing fans to experience their favorite heroes in a whole new way.

Everything suggests that this collaboration is just a taste of a series of even more spectacular mergers to come in the ever more permeable world of mobile gaming.
