New details about the upcoming second season were announced today on the official X account of the anime adaptation of “Saga of Tanya the Evil” (Japanese: “Youjo Senki”). You can find a new teaser and visual below.
New director
The second season, which was announced more than four years ago, is currently scheduled to start on Japanese television sometime next year. However, a specific date is still pending.
The NUT studio is responsible for the production, with Takayuki Yukimoto (episode director of “Negative Positive Angler”) directing and Kenta Ihara (“TSUKIMICHI: Moonlit Fantasy”) writing the script. The voice actors of Tanya, Visha, Erich, Kurt and Hans also return for their roles.
The original plan was for Yutaka Uemura – who was already responsible for the first season – to again act as director for the new episodes. However, it was not announced why the change ultimately took place.
In this country, Crunchyroll offers the twelve-part first season, which was first broadcast on Japanese television between January and March 2017, as well as the accompanying 2019 movie and the OVA episode on demand.
