Since the official announcement of Grand Theft Auto VI, Rockstar Games’ every move has been dissected. And for good reason: the game is undoubtedly the most anticipated of the decade. As rumors multiply, one hypothesis comes back insistently: the third trailer for GTA 6 could arrive at the very beginning of 2026. “The craze for GTA VI is back, a potential launch window for the third trailer has been spotted.”
January-February 2026, a strategic window
“This makes late 2025 and early 2026 the perfect time to unveil the third GTA VI trailer and open pre-orders.” Take-Two’s latest financial data showed steady growth throughout the year. The next report, scheduled for February 2026, could coincide with a major announcement to boost markets and sales.
Rockstar maintains total control of its communication
“We know the trailer will not be shown at The Game Awards next month.” Unlike the majority of publishers, Rockstar never participates in major trade shows for its announcements. This method has proven itself, and Rockstar once again seems to be sticking to it.
An announcement coupled with the opening of pre-orders?
“While GTA VI may not need the same marketing as other games, pre-orders will need to be announced at some point.” The envisaged scenario seems to hold water: a trailer in January, followed immediately by the opening of pre-orders for the PS5 and Xbox Series versions.
And GTA Online in all this?
One point, however, remains mysterious: the future of GTA Online. Some rumors suggest a first glimpse integrated into the next trailer. Nothing is confirmed, but a fleeting mention would be enough to trigger a tsunami of expectation.
