Battlefield 6: big change in Breakthrough mode, attacking players will love it

Released barely a month ago, Battlefield 6 has already established itself as one of the best parts of the franchise according to fans. But as is often the case with online shooters, player feedback highlighted flaws in the balancing, particularly for Rush and Breakthrough modes, where attackers struggled to progress. The teams of Battlefield Studios have heard these criticisms and have just deployed an update that reshuffles the cards.

Less hassle, more fun: Battlefield 6 challenges made simple

One of the main complaints concerned the game challengesconsidered too demanding or frustrating. Some demanded absurd conditions from players, forcing them to adopt strategies that were harmful to their own team. This week, a global overhaul was deployed: the numerical objectives were reduced, whether it be the number of eliminations, damage to inflict or specific actions to perform. Better yet, players who have already met the new conditions have seen certain challenges validated automatically upon connection.

Among the most appreciated adjustments, that of adrenaline shot. Previously, you had to achieve 30 eliminations under its effect – a real ordeal. Now only 3 are enough to unlock the deployment beacon for the assault class. This little piece of equipment literally changes the dynamics of the game.

The beacon, a new tactical asset for attackers

In Rush and Breakthrough modes, marked by strong defensive pressure, successfully breaking through enemy lines was almost a feat. Thanks to the deployment beaconattackers can now place a remote beaconallowing their squad to reappear at a strategic point.

As the developers explain, “if you place it behind enemy lines or at a good flanking angle, it can allow you to quickly respawn and progress towards the objective.” This is a revolution for these historically unbalanced modes.

The developers themselves admitted that “the victory rates for attackers in Breakthrough mode were not fair”. Thanks to this new tool and reduced challenges, players can regain control of areas that were previously impossible to capture. For many, “this is a huge advantage for the attackers.”
