Steam launches 11 new free games to discover this week

The platform Steam continues to be fertile ground for independent developers and more ambitious studios alike. Every week, new free projects appear, offering PC gamers the opportunity to test original concepts without spending a single euro. The selection of March 22, 2026 is no exception to the rule: 11 new free games are now available for download.

An eclectic selection between action, reflection and experimentation

Among the new features, we find Biotypea bullet hell type shooter based on an original mechanic called “Tri-Laser”. The player must manage the energy of three different shooting modes, creating a constant strategic balance amidst intense visual chaos. In a completely different register, On Duty: All Clear offers a first-person simulation where the objective is to maintain order in a prison for a full week. Management, observation and anticipation are at the center of the experience.

Fans of precision will appreciate Threadlinea minimalist racing game where timing is everything. Every move counts, and the slightest mistake can ruin a perfect attempt. On the roguelike side, Gambler’s Fallacy immerses players in a western casino where light deck-building and isometric combat mix in a stylized universe.

Parkour, retro FPS and immersive survival

Fans of technical challenges can turn to Mini Upa challenging parkour game that pushes you to improve your performance to beat your own record. In a more old school spirit, GOAT FPS pays homage to 90s shooters with nervous and deliberately offbeat gameplay. The action is fast and uncompromising.

For a more oppressive atmosphere, Whispers of the Seasons puts the player face to face with a threatening creature that must be repulsed by remaining attentive to sound clues. The tension here rests on listening and preparation. Finally, Run Shiba Run! adopts a lighter tone: you play as a shiba escaped into a park, whose objective is simple — collect as many cookies as possible.

Storytelling and independent creativity

The selection also includes Them’s Tale – The Road To Hera narrative experience inspired by online stories. Although the stories appear realistic, they are entirely fictional and constructed to immerse the player in an interactive drama.

Another original proposal: Fusea puzzle platform game featuring origami characters. Exploration, combat and puzzles intertwine in an artistic universe marked by a threat called “black tar”. These titles illustrate the creative wealth present on Steam, where many student or independent projects find their audience.

How to download these games for free?

To access these new features, simply go to their respective page via Steam and click on “Play Game”. The installation starts automatically via the client. However, it is still advisable to check the minimum configuration required, indicated at the bottom of each product page. Some freelance projects can be more demanding than they seem, and unsuitable hardware can cause performance drops.

With this new wave of releases, Steam confirms its status as an essential showcase for free games on PC. Whether you’re a fan of retro FPS, challenging parkour, or narrative experiences, there’s probably a title to try this week.
