It’s the beginning of a new era for The Wheel of Time. The saga of Robert Jordan (and Brandon Sanderson) will be adapted again for the small screen soon, with a new series. But this time, no live-action, iwot is instead banking on an animated series “à la Arcana ”, and for this, the studio called on Thomas Vu, former veteran of Riot Gameswho was also one of the producers of the series League of Legends broadcast on Netflix. A first concept art for this adaptation featuring Rand al’Thor has been revealed.
If we are talking to you about it today, it is also because this series will be linked to another video game centered on the license. For the moment, Variety indicates that this game would target mobile and PC platformswhich suggests that we are heading straight towards a free-to-play (an environment that Thomas Vu knows well), but it remains to be seen what kind of game it will be about.
However, it must be dissociated from the RPG The Wheel of Time which is in development at iowt Studios Montreal, and which, according to the latest news, was in difficulty as the studio was making layoffs.
