Ballistic Moon, the studio behind the Until Dawn remake, has now closed its doors

The studio will not have been able to find a solution

Until Dawn although having been entitled to a (terrible) cinema adaptation to relaunch the license, this remake has gone relatively unnoticed. Probably because it was not necessary, even if notable improvements could be noticed. The ax therefore logically fell on Ballistic Moonat least according to The Gazette which confirms that the company was dissolved on February 3.

Reports of the poor health of the British studio had already appeared last year, but the remaining team within the company said they were doing everything in their power to turn things around. However, we unfortunately know that the industry rarely offers second chances these days, given that it is already reluctant to offer a first, as the number of closed studios that have not released any games grows from week to week.

Sad news for this studio which did not have time to really prove what it was worth with a new project. Meanwhile, Supermassive Games, the originator of the base game, is also fighting for its survival and will be banking on the release of Directive 8020 to regain health.
