Publisher peppermint anime today unveiled the design of the limited Blu-ray edition of »Colorful Stage! The Movie: A Miku Who Can’t Sing« is revealed. You can find a first product image further down in this article.

»Colorful stage! The Movie: A Miku Who Can’t Sing” is expected to go on sale on May 15, 2026 in a limited hardcover box with finishing. Due to licensing restrictions, this only contains the film in the original Japanese dub with German subtitles.
As an extra there is a 3D map, an acrylic stand, five art cards, a booklet and an audio commentary. Pre-ordering is already possible on Amazon and in the AKIBA PASS SHOP. The level of the limitation is not known.
The PAWORKS studio was responsible for the production of the approximately 105-minute evening filler, with Hiroyuki Hata (“Journey to Bloom”) directing and Youko Yonaiyama (“Umayuru”) writing the script.
The cinema premiere of the first film about the virtual idol Hatsune Miku took place on January 17, 2025 in Japan and on April 5, 2025 in Germany.

Ichika Hoshino discovers an unknown song by Miku in a CD store. When she sees a strange Hatsune Miku on a display, she responds to her call and immediately disappears again.
Days later, Miku appears on Ichika’s smartphone and explains that her songs are not reaching people. So she asks Ichika for help to learn from her.
